Overview

Skinning is a story of a young Belgrade high school student, Novica, who is a champion in mathematics. In an attempt to overcome the ‘geek’ status at school, Novica gets seduced into the world of gang of skinheads by their charismatic leader and Novica’s school friend Relja. Upon joining the gang, Novica is exposed to world of violence, hooliganism and racism. Novica embraces the ideology of skinhead movement and it does not take long for him to climb up the ladder in the gang hierarchy. The film deals with what happens when a young, trusting and very intelligent teenager makes a wrong decision in choosing his friends and the subsequent consequences which will affect him for the rest of his life.
